The Ministry of Education had circulated on the 15th of the current month the model for the admission test for Advanced Technology Schools for the 2026-2027 academic year, with the aim of familiarizing students with the nature of the questions and the mechanism for answering them, and helping them prepare for the standard test. President Ahmed al-Sharaa issued Decree No. (183) of 2026 on October 7 of this year, establishing the "National Advanced Technology Track," under the supervision of the Ministries of Education and Higher Education, in coordination with other relevant ministries.
Admission to these schools is decided annually by the Minister of Education, based on two main conditions: passing the Basic Education Certificate or its equivalent, and passing a national standard test. Upon completing the three years of study, the student receives a secondary certificate equivalent to the General Secondary Certificate, allowing him to apply to specialized university colleges appropriate for his specialization.
