Editorial Standards
These are the rules our journalists work to. They are public so you can hold us to them. Version 3.1, in force since January 2026.
Accuracy and verification
Facts are verified with at least two reliable sources whenever possible.
Statistics, quotes, and images are clearly attributed.
Anonymous sources are used sparingly and verified by editors.
Sources & anonymity
Editorial decisions are made solely by Famia Media Group editors and journalists.
Commercial partners, advertisers, or sponsors cannot influence news content.

Corrections
Commitment to accuracy: We correct errors quickly and transparently.
Minor edits: Spelling or grammar fixes that do not affect meaning may be made without notice.
Factual errors are corrected with a clear note at the end of the article, such as: "Correction [date]: A previous version misstated ..."
Major updates receive a new timestamp and, where appropriate, an explanatory note.
Conflicts of interest
Staff disclose potential conflicts of interest; management reassigns work when necessary.
Anyone subject to significant criticism or allegations is given an opportunity to respond.
We respect privacy, dignity, and the safety of individuals, especially minors and victims of violence.
Images & AI
Images or videos are not digitally altered in misleading ways.
Captions provide context; third-party assets are used under license or fair use.
AI tools may assist in transcription, translation, or technical processing.
AI does not replace editorial judgment, investigation, or fact-checking.
Any AI-generated or assisted media is labeled accordingly and reviewed by editors before publication.
