AFC Postpones Al Nassr vs Al Wasl Match
The AFC rescheduled the Elite Asian Champions League match between Saudi Al Nassr and UAE Al Wasl.

The Asian Football Confederation announced on Sunday the rescheduling of the match between Saudi Al Nassr and their UAE guests Al Wasl, which was scheduled for Monday at the "Al Diriyah Arena" in the capital Riyadh, as part of the third round of the Elite Asian Champions League.

The AFC stated in a statement published on its website that "the new date and time of the match will be announced in due course," without revealing the reasons for the postponement or providing additional details regarding the new arrangements.

Press reports indicated that the Al Wasl delegation was unable to reach Riyadh on the scheduled date due to the lack of suitable flights, amid recent security developments. Neither club immediately issued an official statement clarifying the circumstances of the decision.

Al Nassl currently sits eighth in the West group with 3 points, after stumbling at the start of their campaign with a four-goal defeat to UAE's Al Ain, before regaining their balance with a 3-1 win over Uzbekistan's Neftchi. Meanwhile, Al Wasl sits fourteenth without points, after losses to Saudi Al Qadsiah 1-2 and then to Saudi Al Ahli 1-3.

Al Nassr is scheduled to face Uzbekistan's Pakhtakor, while Al Wasl will meet Iraq's Al Quwa Al Jawiya, on November 2, in the fourth round of the continental competition.
