After the bombing of the Beirut suburb.. Iran vows to retaliate, Trump calls on Israel to stop its attacks
Israel raises alert level

Today, the Israeli occupation army launched  a violent airraid by two warplanes that fired 4 guided missiles on the southern suburbs of Beirut, targeting the vicinity of the Al-Ghubeiri area.

The National News Agency reported that the initial toll of the raid  resulted in 3 deaths and 15 injuries, in addition to extensive destruction of nearby buildings and shops.

Trump criticizes the timing of the Beirut bombing

US President Donald Trump, through his platform "Truth Social", called on Israel to stop its attacks on Lebanon and immediately de-escalate.

Trump said the attack in Beirut "should not have happened on this special day and we are close to a peace deal with Iran."

He added that Israel "has the right to defend itself against what he called 'threats,' but described the attack it responded to as "very simple, limited, worthless, and did not result in deaths or injuries.

The US president stressed that this escalation should not hinder the possible agreement that could be the beginning of a "long and beautiful peace" that would bring stability to the region, including Lebanon.

Trump called on all parties to back down, stressing that Israel should not launch any further attacks anywhere inside Lebanon, and called on Hezbollah and others not to carry out any attacks against Israel to avoid spoiling this historic opportunity.

Iran vows to respond

In Tehran, Iran's military leadership vowed to respond to the targeting of Beirut's southern suburbs.

Iranian media quoted  Mohammad Jafar Asadi, deputy commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya's military headquarters, as saying  that "the crimes of the Zionists in the southern suburbs of Beirut will not go unanswered."

For his part, Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf warned that negotiations with the United States could stall, saying the continued attacks show that Washington "either lacks the will to respect its commitments or lacks the ability to meet them.

Ghalibaf reiterated Tehran's condition that any agreement with the United States include a complete ceasefire in Lebanon, while Fars news agency quoted a source close to the negotiating team as saying that Tehran is continuing its technical and legal reviews and has not yet made a final decision.

Israel is cautious for a response

The Israeli police commissioner general has ordered an increased level of alert throughout Israel.

Israel's Channel 13 reported that the meeting of the Cabinet scheduled to be held on Sunday evening, chaired by Netanyahu, has been moved to an underground fortified shelter for fear of rocket fire from Iran.

The meeting is being held to discuss the regional situation and the US-Iran agreement, amid preparations by the security establishment for the possibility of political directives to halt the ground advance in southern Lebanon and reduce attacks deep inside Lebanon to avoid harming the agreement.

On the Israeli political front, Israel's right-wing ministers continued  their incitement against Beirut, with Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich saying that the launch of the marches to the north is a test of Netanyahu's "suburban equation" and must be firmly implemented by destroying and shooting down 10 buildings in the southern suburbs for every fire aimed at Israeli territory.

For his part, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called on the prime minister to launch an immediate rocket response to make the suburb shake for every launch from Lebanon, saying, "We do not contain terrorism, but we decide," and launched the slogan "A thousand members of Hezbollah for a hair from the head of an Israeli soldier."

These positions come in conjunction with the continuation of the Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which resulted on Saturday in the killing of 3 people in raids on the south and the blowing up of houses in the town of Majdal Zone in the district of Tyre, raising the total number of victims of the Israeli aggression since March 2 to 3756 dead and 11,632 wounded.
