Al-Hasakah restores three water wells to service to improve supply
Technical workshops in Al-Hasakah repair three wells in Al-Jawadiya and Dhabana to enhance supply stability.

Technical workshops in the General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Al-Hasakah Governorate, in cooperation with the organization "Action Against Hunger", completed maintenance work on three drinking water wells in the countryside of the governorate and returned them to service, as part of continuous efforts to rehabilitate rural water projects and improve the water supply situation.

For his part, the General Manager of the company, Farhan Al-Awais, clarified in a statement to a SANA correspondent today, Sunday, that the technical workshops completed the maintenance of two wells in the district of Al-Jawadiya today and returned them to investment after repairing the casings and lowering them, with a capacity of 30 horsepower for the first well and 25 horsepower for the second well.

He added that the workshops completed the maintenance of a water well in the village of Dhabana in the countryside of Qamishli city a few days ago, by repairing the casing with a capacity of 25 horsepower and reinstalling it, which allowed the well to be put back into service.

Improving drinking water stability

Al-Awais emphasized that returning the three wells to service will contribute to enhancing the stability of securing drinking water for residents in the district of Al-Jawadiya and the village of Dhabana.

He pointed out the company's continuation in implementing maintenance and repair plans for rural water projects scattered throughout the governorate, which improves the water supply situation and ensures the continuity of providing services to citizens.

The technical workshops affiliated with the company, in cooperation with the organization "Action Against Hunger", completed last week maintenance and repair work on four rural water wells in scattered areas of the governorate, including a well in the village of Tishreen in the Qahitaniya area, two wells in the district of Tal Hamis, and a well in the village of Al-Rashidiya in the countryside of Darbasiya city.

It is worth noting that the organization "Action Against Hunger" is a global humanitarian organization founded in France, committed to ending hunger in the world, helping children suffering from malnutrition, and providing communities with access to safe drinking water and sustainable solutions for hunger.
