Aoun: "I am waiting for any solution that will get Lebanon out of war"
400,000 Lebanese return to their homes in the south

Lebanese President  Joseph  Aoun said in a meeting with a number of journalists, "I tell you that I am not fond of Israel, but give me another solution to follow whoever it is," according to Al-Jadeed TV.

The Lebanese president added: "I say to those who oppose this framework, I am waiting for any solution or agreement that will get us out of wars."

Regarding the collapse of the agreement, Aoun said that "the circumstances today are different from the era of May 17, and we do not forget that everyone called me and blessed these steps."

Lebanese MP: The framework agreement is a "free concession to the enemy"

Lebanese MP Hassan Fadlallah said that the framework agreement "does not exist" and does not carry any charter, constitutional or legal value, stressing that it is not applicable and that the resistance will not allow it to be imposed on the Lebanese.

Fadlallah, a member of the Hizbullah bloc, explained that the Lebanese Authority "signed an agreement with the Israeli enemy that does not include any clause in the interest of Lebanon," considering that its clauses "perpetuate the occupation, prevent any prosecution of Israel before international bodies, and set a dangerous equation based on the survival of the occupation versus the abolition of the resistance."

He pointed out that the agreement, as he described it, "was prepared with full Israeli conditions and signed by the PA without discussion or amendment," considering that what happened was a "free concession" that no party with a sense of patriotism can accept.

Fadlallah considered that the agreement provided a "free gift" to Israeli Prime Minister  Benjamin Netanyahu to use Lebanon as a bargaining chip in the US-Iran negotiations, after Iranian pressure was "an element of strength for Lebanon to force Israel to withdraw."

He added that the PA "was not the decision-maker," but signed what was written to it "from outside the borders," while ignoring the opportunity to benefit from Iranian support, which "forced the Israeli withdrawal in the memorandum of understanding."

He stressed that the agreement "does not exist for us, and there is no possibility of implementing it", stressing that the resistance remains on the ground, and that the people of the south "will not be a field of experiments", adding: "Whoever wants to surrender should surrender alone, while our people will not surrender."

Lebanese minister: 400,000 southerners have returned to their homes

Lebanese Minister of Social Affairs Haneen al-Sayed announced the return of about 400,000 displaced people to their areas in the south of the country, out of more than one million displaced as a result of the Israeli aggression, while a large number of them are still unable to return due to the destruction or inaccessibility to their homes.

"Although the ceasefire is still fragile, the south is witnessing the return of numbers of displaced people," the minister  said in a statement from southern Lebanon, noting that the purpose of her visit to the south is to "familiarize ourselves with the reality and listen to the challenges, as part of the preparation of the return, recovery and reconstruction plan," according to the Lebanese News Agency.

"The state's ability to finance is limited, so an appeal will be made to the international community to secure the necessary funds, and to quickly start implementing reconstruction projects, in addition to providing urgent assistance to those affected as soon as funding is provided," she added.

She pointed out that the ministry is also studying a mechanism to help the owners of houses affected by minor damage, by providing financial sums that enable them to carry out the necessary restoration work and return to their homes, in addition to working to provide ready-made housing as one of the proposed solutions.
