Aviation enthusiast transforms Dubai apartment into luxury aircraft cabin
Aaron Rajagopal transforms his Dubai apartment into a luxurious 'The Residence' cabin using parts from an Airbus A380.

An aviation enthusiast has transformed his apartment in Dubai into a space that mimics 'The Residence' cabin, consisting of three rooms aboard Etihad Airways aircraft, in a project that took about a year of renovation and modification. The project combined the owner's passion for aircraft with his interest in acquiring original parts, turning the residential space into a unique experience.

CNN reported on Wednesday that Aaron Rajagopal, an Airbus A380 enthusiast, succeeded in installing the cabin inside his apartment, utilizing parts recovered from an aircraft dismantled in a specialized UAE workshop for aircraft recycling. The cabin features a luxurious leather sofa, automatic windows and curtains, in addition to a television screen, lighting system, charging ports, and sliding doors that provide privacy.

Rajagopal is a fan of the Airbus A380, having flown on it approximately 220 times and participated in 45 inaugural flights of this aircraft type. He has also collected souvenirs and original parts from the plane, including seats, lights, and seatbelts, which he displays in his apartments, reflecting his deep connection to the world of aviation since childhood.

Rajagopal explained that his passion for aviation dates back to his childhood, and that the aircraft has become a symbol of ambition and achieving dreams for him. He noted that the project goes beyond merely acquiring a luxury cabin, embodying his long-standing connection to the aviation world. 'The Residence' cabin is one of the most prominent luxury travel experiences on Etihad Airways flights, featuring a living area, a separate bedroom, and a private bathroom.
