Spanish club Barcelona drew 1-1 with Turkish side Galatasaray in the first half, before overturning their deficit to secure a 4-1 victory on Tuesday at Rams Park, in the second matchday of the league phase of the UEFA Champions League.

With this win, Barcelona moved up to 6 points from two consecutive victories, having started their campaign with a 5-1 win over Dutch club Feyenoord, topping the standings on goal difference ahead of Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon and English club Arsenal, while Galatasaray remained on zero points after suffering their second consecutive defeat.

First Half Details

Barcelona imposed their style from the opening minutes, dominating possession and relying on short passes. The first dangerous chance for the visitors came in the 16th minute when Anthony Gordon received a long pass and shot, but his effort was saved by goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.

Barcelona returned to threatening the goal in the 23rd minute when Dani Olmo rose to meet a cross from Lamine Yamal, before Cakir shone again in the 25th minute to deny a powerful shot from Joao Cancelo.

Contrary to the flow of the game, Galatasaray managed to open the scoring in the 27th minute when Rafael Leao broke forward and delivered a cross, which Alexsandro Patricio finished with a shot that deflected off Cancelo and into the net.

In the 34th minute, the referee disallowed a goal for the Turkish side scored by Victor Osimhen with a header, after reviewing the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, due to an offside on Baris Alper Yilmaz.

Cancelo managed to score the first goal for the visiting team in the 43rd minute with a shot that found the far corner, ending the first half at 1-1 after Cakir made two crucial saves in stoppage time.

Barcelona's Dominance in the Second Half

Barcelona missed the chance to take the lead at the start of the second half when Lamine Yamal played a precise pass to Gordon, who shot wide.

The Catalan side did not take long to regain the lead, as Fermin Lopez gave his team the second goal in the 50th minute with a header from a Yamal assist.

Just three minutes later, Gordon extended Barcelona's lead by scoring the third goal in the 53rd minute, finishing a quick counter-attack with a close-range shot following a pass from Yamal.

Barcelona sealed the victory by scoring the fourth goal in the 65th minute through German substitute Karim Adeyemi, who capitalized on a cross and fired a powerful left-footed shot into the net.

Galatasaray had a chance to reduce the deficit in the 75th minute when Victor Osimhen had a clear one-on-one opportunity, but goalkeeper Juan Garcia cleared the ball before the Nigerian striker could reach it.

Barcelona continued to dominate in the following minutes, ending the match with a 4-1 victory.
