Ben Gvir urges French Jews to move to Israel amid local protests and regional tensions.

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir called on French Jews to immigrate to Israel, taking advantage of the protests currently taking place in France. This came during his speech at a conference for the French Jewish community in the city of Netanya, where he urged them to return to their homeland.

Context of the Call and Protests

Ben Gvir added in a statement by the "Jewish Power" party on Sunday evening that their leader was speaking in front of hundreds of supporters in Netanya. Ben Gvir claimed that there are people in France seeking to harm Israel and called on the French government to review its behavior towards those expanding their influence within the country.

Political and International Background

Public and official anger prevails regarding Israel's policies towards the Palestinian people, especially the Gaza war since October 8, 2023. Ben Gvir had previously pointed out the necessity for Europe and the world to awaken, directing his direct message to French Jews by saying: "Return to your homes... this is your home! And this is your homeland!".

Figures and Facts

France recognized the state of Palestine in September 2025 and banned the import of Israeli settlement products. The number of Jews in France is estimated at more than 450,000 out of a population of approximately 69 million. It is worth noting that Israel was established in 1948 on lands occupied by Zionist gangs, leading to the displacement of at least 750,000 Palestinians.
