The Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Tuesday the execution of a targeted military operation aimed at neutralizing the capabilities of the Houthi militia to threaten Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and the southern Red Sea and waterways. The coalition pointed out that it targeted reserve warehouses and fuel tanks in the Yemeni provinces of Al-Hudaydah, Sanaa, and Dhamar.

For his part, the official spokesperson for the coalition forces, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, said in a statement on the X platform that the joint command of the coalition forces has confirmed the use of the Houthi militia of civilian assets and vital sources to fuel its war effort. He clarified that among these sites are the Al-Sabahah Central Station in Sanaa, underground fuel reserve warehouses, fuel tanks, and piers dedicated to the transfer and unloading of fuel in Al-Hudaydah, Sanaa, and Dhamar.

Al-Maliki pointed out that the Houthi militia used these sites entirely to support the war effort by fueling its arsenal of missiles and drones that threaten Saudi Arabia and endanger the safety of airports, ports, and commercial ships in the Red Sea. He affirmed that this contribution contributed to the execution of hostile attacks against civilians and civilian assets, and the planning of imminent attacks against civilian assets in the Kingdom and against commercial ships in international waterways.

Al-Maliki affirmed the coalition forces' strict commitment to international humanitarian law and their taking of all possible precautions to avoid causing incidental casualties or damage to civilians during the planning and execution of this operation. He called on the Houthi militia to immediately cease all terrorist operations targeting civilians and civilian assets, including airports, ports, oil facilities, and infrastructure.

Earlier on Tuesday, the joint command of the coalition forces had requested civilians to evacuate the site of the Yemeni Oil Company, specifically the Al-Sabahah Central Station in the capital Sanaa, according to a map clarifying the site, in order to ensure the safety of civilians.
