The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen denied on Thursday the claims made by the Houthi militia regarding threats by Saudi Arabia to target Yemeni tribal and civilian gatherings, affirming that these accusations are baseless and aim to drag Yemeni tribes into conflicts that do not serve the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, peace, and development.
For his part, the spokesperson for the Coalition forces, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, clarified in a statement published on the 'X' platform that these claims reflect continuous attempts to mislead public opinion and divert attention from the militia's crises and practices, stressing that the Yemeni tribe remains a solid pillar in the social and historical fabric of Yemen.
Al-Maliki pointed out that Yemeni tribes form a bridge of brotherhood and communication between the Saudi and Yemeni peoples, who are united by ties of religion, proximity, history, and shared destiny, affirming that these ties are deeper than to be affected by disinformation campaigns or attempts to sow division and hostility.
In the same context, the Coalition spokesperson affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia confirms its steadfast position regarding the security and stability of Yemen, and its keenness to preserve the brotherly and historical ties with the Yemeni people, which enhances security and stability, protects the interests of both peoples, and prevents the exploitation of Yemeni tribes.
Earlier on Thursday, the Coalition announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, confirming the readiness of Coalition forces to defend the security of the Kingdom.
