The Directorate of Technical Services in Hama Governorate completed, on Tuesday, in cooperation with the Wadi al-Ayun Municipal Council and under the supervision of the Masyaf District Administration, the expansion works of the general Wadi al-Ayun-Derikish road, which extends over a length of 4 kilometers, in order to support traffic safety and improve the state of road infrastructure in the area.

Masyaf District Director Nour al-Din Aboud told SANA that this expansion is part of efforts aimed at improving the state of roads, facilitating movement, and reducing risks facing road users, thereby contributing to supporting service movement and meeting the needs of residents. He pointed out that the works will have a positive impact on daily movement in the Wadi al-Ayun sub-district, enhancing public safety and improving the state of services.

For his part, Wadi al-Ayun Municipal Council President Muhammad Barhoum said that the road was cleared of collapses, with soil and rocks removed and transported to landfills. Several other streets and squares were also expanded, and collapses caused by heavy rains were addressed. The General Establishment for Road Transport in Hama carried out maintenance works on the Wadi al-Ayun-Masyaf road last month to raise the level of traffic safety.

Maintenance and expansion works on roads in the Wadi al-Ayun area are of particular importance due to the landslides and collapses of soil and rocks it experiences during rainfall periods, necessitating periodic maintenance and clearance works to maintain road safety and ensure the continuity of traffic.
