Work continues on the comprehensive service campaign launched by the Adra Industrial City Administration in Adra, in the countryside of Damascus. The campaign includes cleaning sewage and irrigation networks, maintaining sidewalks and central medians, expanding city entrances, and preparing green spaces, with the aim of improving services and preparing for the winter season.
Ziad Asfoura, head of the Technical Services Office at the Adra Industrial City Administration, stated that the campaign began two weeks ago and is expected to last about a month. He emphasized that completing cleaning and rehabilitation works contributes to improving the movement of vehicles and trucks and facilitating the transport of materials and goods within the city.
Asfoura pointed out that the expansion works include increasing the width of some streets from 8 to 12 meters to accommodate the growing industrial traffic. Additionally, a pumping station will be implemented in Sector 4, and a protection gate will be installed to prevent water backflow towards the sector.
The campaign comes as part of the Industrial City Administration's plan to enhance service and infrastructure efficiency and improve the service and investment environment, in line with industrial activity and production movement in the city.
Earlier, in August, Ahmed Kurdi, Director of Industrial Cities at the Ministry of Economy and Industry, confirmed that work is underway to implement plans to expand several industrial cities and develop their infrastructure. These efforts aim to meet the growing demand for investment, attract local and foreign production projects, and support employment opportunities.
Kurdi clarified that the plans include expanding Adra Industrial City in the countryside of Damascus in response to the increasing demand for investment, providing a suitable environment for investors, supporting industrial growth, and creating new job opportunities.
