Abdul Rahim Zayada, President of the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce, confirmed that the specialized Syrian export clothing exhibition "Syriatex" for the autumn and winter 2026-2027 season represents an important opportunity to observe the development of the Syrian fabric and clothing industry, thanks to the diverse products and designs offered by local companies that contribute to enhancing their presence in foreign markets.
Zayada clarified in a statement to a SANA correspondent on Thursday that the exhibition is distinguished by the level of participation and the variety of fashion and products on display, which reflect the development witnessed by the fabric and clothing industry in Syria. He pointed out the importance of specialized exhibitions in promoting the Syrian product and enhancing communication between companies and those interested in the sector.
Zayada noted that the continuous development in the Syrian fabric and clothing industry demonstrates its competitiveness and contributes to expanding the presence of local companies in specialized exhibitions and reaching new markets. He expressed his hope that the exhibition would witness the signing of more export contracts in the coming days and that participation would expand in future editions, thereby strengthening the presence of the Syrian clothing industry in foreign markets.
The exhibition activities began yesterday, Wednesday, and will continue until the 26th of September. It welcomes visitors daily from 12:00 noon until 9:00 PM. Free transportation is provided for visitors from Bab Tuma and the Cham Hotel. The exhibition includes the participation of Syrian companies and brands to enhance communication between producers, traders, and those interested in export opportunities.
