Damascus Stock Exchange recorded trades worth nearly 4 million Syrian pounds on Thursday amid absence of large deals.

The Damascus Stock Exchange recorded trades worth nearly 4 million Syrian pounds during Thursday's session, distributed across 138 deals involving 199,851 shares, amid the absence of large deals that would boost trading values and significantly support market activity.

The only rising stock in the session was the International Bank for Trade and Finance, which recorded an increase of 2.51 percent compared to its previous closing price, closing at 13.90 Syrian pounds per share, while most other stocks tended to stabilize or decline.

Varying losses for traded stocks

A group of stocks closed with varying declines, led by Banque Saudi Fransi Syria, which fell by 4.95 percent to close at 14.03 Syrian pounds, followed by Qatar National Bank – Syria, which dropped by 3.55 percent to settle at 18.76 pounds, and then Badia Cement Company by 2.49 percent, recording a price of 780.55 pounds.
