Daraa Health Directorate Continues Ambulance Department Rehabilitation at Izraa National Hospital
Daraa Health Directorate and SAMZ expand Izraa National Hospital's ambulance department to increase capacity.

The Daraa Health Directorate, in cooperation with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMZ), continues implementing a comprehensive project to rehabilitate and expand the ambulance department at Izraa National Hospital in eastern Daraa countryside, aiming to update infrastructure and increase the department's capacity.

The director of Izraa National Hospital, Adnan Hussein Muhammad, clarified in a statement to SANA correspondent on Thursday that the rehabilitation works include addressing signs of infrastructure deterioration, significantly expanding spaces, and equipping the department with modern vital signs monitoring devices and new medical beds.

For his part, Muhammad pointed out that the project aims to improve service levels in line with modern medical standards and enhance workflow and communication between medical staff and patients. He emphasized the project's great importance given the ambulance department's role in serving the city of Izraa and surrounding villages that rely on it primarily.

The hospital director added that the rehabilitation works and department preparation to receive patients are expected to be completed within the first ten days of November next. The project, which began about a month ago, comes within the efforts aimed at developing the health situation in Daraa governorate.

SAMZ, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, has carried out numerous works in recent periods to enhance the stability of the health sector, the most prominent of which was opening the first specialized center for blood and oncology diseases at Daraa National Hospital, and supporting Izraa National Hospital with medical supplies and an ambulance system.
