The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Aleppo Governorate delivered the first batch of portable cameras to supply inspectors today, Sunday, aiming to develop field oversight tools, document inspection procedures, and enhance transparency while protecting the rights of consumers and business owners.

Adel Halal, Deputy Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Aleppo, explained that the delivery of cameras is part of the Ministry's steps to improve the state of supply oversight and strengthen trust between inspectors, consumers, and business owners. He noted that this step complements efforts to develop oversight tools, following the launch of the response system via QR code.

For his part, Mustafa Zakaria, Head of the Supply Section in the city of Atarib, stated that the cameras contribute to documenting inspectors' work during supply rounds and reducing disputes that may arise between them and business owners regarding inspection procedures. He clarified that they provide protection for both parties and limit cases of extortion or bribery.

For his part, Engineer Anas Al-Mohammad, a technician at the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Damascus, explained that the cameras operate on a live streaming system, transmitting what the supply inspector documents to the Ministry, thereby enabling monitoring of oversight rounds and helping to protect employees while performing their duties.

The Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection is working to develop supply oversight tools by introducing technological means that allow for documenting inspection procedures and monitoring inspector performance, thereby enhancing transparency in dealings with business owners, contributing to consumer protection, and controlling violations.
