The Museum of the Future in Dubai announced the opening of applications for the first job vacancies in the world bearing the job title “Future Perfects,” in a move aimed at attracting talents possessing communication and creative thinking skills to contribute to providing a new interactive experience for visitors, as part of preparations for the museum’s reopening in 2027.
The Emirates News Agency (WAM) clarified yesterday, Wednesday, that the museum seeks to form a team that plays a fundamental role in direct communication with visitors and presenting the museum’s content through interactive methods that reflect its vision for the future, noting that applying for these positions does not require previous experience in museums or customer service, but rather focuses on skills such as creativity, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.
Museum officials clarified that the candidate selection process will include initial performance tests, with successful candidates moving on to direct tests before a committee comprising experts and specialists, to evaluate listening skills, quick thinking, the ability to simplify complex ideas, and present them to the public, where the role of “Future Perfects” combines guiding visitors, interacting with them, and storytelling.
The announcement comes in the context of cultural and tourism institutions’ trend toward developing methods of knowledge delivery and communication with the public, by combining modern technologies with human skills that help simplify information and enhance the interactive experience, reflecting the importance of human communication in cultural institutions that employ modern technologies.
