Fadel Shakir Breaks 14-Year Absence in Riyadh Season
Lebanese artist Fadel Shakir returns to the stage after a long absence at the 'Return of the Absentee' concert during Riyadh Season.

Lebanese artist Fadel Shakir performed the nights of the 'Return of the Absentee' concert at Abu Bakr Salem Theater, sponsored by the General Entertainment Authority and as part of Riyadh Season activities, following his return to the stage after an absence lasting 14 years, with the concert lasting until the early morning hours of Saturday.

Details of the Two Returns

Shakir posted on his official account on the 'X' platform after the concert, writing: 'Praise be to God, the dream came true, and after 14 years I returned and stood on the stage... My heart was beating with every step... But the moment I heard your voices, everything changed... Two nights full of emotions, and no words can describe what I felt.'

Spontaneous Atmosphere and Interaction

The final night, Friday, had a spontaneous tone, as Fadel Shakir sang according to audience requests without a pre-determined setlist, moving between his old and new works, and responding with love to what the attendees called out for, turning the encounter into a musical dialogue where the audience chose his songs and participated in singing the lyrics with their star.

Father and Son Participation

On the first night, artist Mohammed Shakir participated in singing with his father, amidst great welcome and interaction from the audience, which celebrated their participation on stage. Fadel Shakir thanked Bench Mark, and specifically thanked Zaki Hassoun, its board chairman, who addressed him affectionately as 'Uncle Zaki' in appreciation of his efforts.

The second night confirmed Fadel Shakir's place in the hearts of his fans, as nostalgia for his songs blended with the joy of hearing them directly from him, in an encounter that went beyond presenting songs to sharing emotions and memories that remained present despite the years of absence.
