Lebanese artist Fadel Shakir completes his final rehearsals on Wednesday in preparation for his performance on the Abu Bakr Salm stage on Thursday and Friday, as part of the seventh edition of Riyadh Season. The artist conducted his first rehearsals on Tuesday, immediately upon his arrival in Riyadh, in intensive preparation for the anticipated appearance.
The theater doors open on the first night at 07:00 PM on Thursday, three hours before the concert. Since the announcement of the first concert, Shakir's return has become one of the most anticipated artistic events, receiving widespread media attention across the Arab world, considered an exceptional return for an artist whose name has been linked for years to the memory of Arabic song.
The sell-out of tickets for the first night within minutes, followed by the announcement of a second night, translated the anticipation into a tangible reality, confirming the level of public passion for watching Fadel Shakir on stage again. Two nights are expected featuring a selection of his most famous songs that have been etched in the public's memory, bringing one of the most prominent Arab voices back to the atmosphere of mass concerts from the heart of Riyadh Season.
Despite his absence from concerts throughout the past years, Fadel Shakir maintained his artistic presence and connection with his audience through musical releases that achieved widespread popularity, most notably "Sahhak Al-Shawq", "Kayyak A Farqi" which he presented in collaboration with his son Mohammed, as well as "Al-Ashkhas Al-Ghalt" and "Sa'ban Alik Halwi". Artist Fadel Shakir won two awards at the Joy Awards 2026 ceremony: the "Favorite Artist" award in the music category, and the "Favorite Song" award for his song "Sahhak Al-Shawq", through public voting.
