Hama tests electronic supply control records to enhance transparency
Hama's Directorate of Trade launches electronic supply control records to enhance market transparency and oversight.

The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Hama governorate launched, today Sunday, a trial of organizing supply control records electronically against shop owners who violated regulations, in a step aimed at digital transformation and developing market oversight mechanisms.

The head of the Consumer Protection Department in the Directorate, Abdul Nasser Silo, explained that the Ministry equipped the Directorate with surveillance cameras to enhance supervisory work and ensure transparency, noting that the plan involves equipping each supply inspector with a camera that records their work from the moment they leave the Directorate until the end of their supervisory tour.

For his part, supply inspector Amer Hussein stated that the supervisory tour carried out today included the 15 March market in Hama city, pointing out that the use of cameras accompanied the tour for the first time. He indicated that the presence of the camera contributes to enhancing the reliability of supervisory performance and limiting objections or claims of injustice that some traders might raise regarding the mechanism of patrol operations.

The Directorate's patrols had organized, on October 1, four supply control records against violating commercial shops, during a supervisory tour that included the Al-Hadir Al-Saghir and Al-Marabit markets in Hama city.
