An Israeli patrol infiltrated towards the village of Maaria in the western countryside of Daraa

An Israeli patrol that set off from the Al-Jazeera military barracks penetrated towards the valley of the village of Maariyya in the western countryside of Daraa, before firing at farmers who were working on their agricultural lands.

According to local sources, the invading force included about ten military vehicles that advanced in the vicinity of the valley, and then opened fire on more than 50 farmers who were present in the area.

The sources explained that the shooting prompted the farmers to immediately withdraw from their lands for fear of being targeted, with no injuries recorded so far.

Residents are expressing growing fears of the recurrence of these incidents, as they have direct effects on the living reality and disrupt access to agricultural lands, which are the main source of income for the residents of the area, who are demanding intervention to ensure their protection and enable them to work on their lands without threat, amid concern that these incursions will turn into a recurring approach that imposes a new reality on Syria's southern border.
