The spokesperson for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hossein Mohabi, announced that his country is preparing to reveal a new weapon described as the "Father of All Bombs," according to statements carried by the Iranian Young Journalists Club News Agency on Wednesday. Mohabi pointed out that this weapon represents a new surprise for the enemy, emphasizing that the country is in the final stage of preparation to showcase this weapon, which differs from the "Mother of All Bombs" previously used by the United States.
For his part, US President Donald Trump hinted at the possibility of using the GBU-43/B bomb, known as the "Mother of All Bombs," to target Iranian nuclear facilities. This bomb weighs approximately 9,800 kilograms and is one of the largest conventional non-nuclear bombs in the US arsenal, having been used for the first time in April 2017 against ISIS tunnels in Afghanistan.
Mohabi added that the number of his country's missiles has increased by one and a half times following the confrontation between Israel and Iran that began in June 2025 and lasted 12 days. He pointed to improvements in missile quality, increased range, destructive capability, and accuracy in hitting targets, amid escalating tensions that began with a war launched by Israel and the US against Iran on February 28.
In the same context, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding in June last year, but it later collapsed due to disagreements regarding guarantees for freedom and security of navigation in the strategic Hormuz Strait for energy and goods supplies.
