Israeli Army Arrests 13 Palestinians in West Bank Raids
Occupation forces arrest 13 Palestinians, including three brothers, in raids focused on Nablus.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested 13 Palestinians, including three brothers, on Thursday morning during raids carried out in scattered areas of the occupied West Bank. The operations focused primarily on Nablus governorate in the northern West Bank, where military forces raided and searched Palestinian homes, according to the Prisoners' Media Office and local sources.

Among the detainees is Palestinian medic and activist against Israeli settlement resistance, Bashar Al-Qarouti. Local sources told Anadolu that a large military force stormed the town of Qarout south of Nablus, raided Al-Qarouti's home, and arrested him after beating him. Al-Qarouti is among the activists who monitor settler terrorism in the West Bank and has been driving an ambulance for years to reach areas of confrontation with settlers.

The Prisoners' Media Office pointed out that the continuation of arrest campaigns and raids, targeting young men and brothers, comes within the framework of escalating Israeli measures against Palestinians, accompanied by home raids and terrorizing families. Al-Qarouti is also active alongside foreign solidarity activists against Israeli violations in the West Bank, particularly in Nablus and Ramallah governorates.

This comes amid escalating attacks by the Israeli army and settler terrorism against Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since the beginning of the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip in October/November 2023. The attacks include killing and arresting Palestinians, demolishing homes and structures, burning mosques and vehicles, razing agricultural lands, preventing farmers from reaching their fields, displacing Palestinian communities, alongside settlement expansion.
