Israeli forces arrest a young man and demolish a memorial in the West Bank
Israeli attacks included arrests, demolitions, and road closures in the West Bank, with an escalation in October.

Israeli forces injured Palestinians with rubber bullets and arrested a young man, while demolishing a memorial and uprooting olive trees during raids on several areas in the West Bank on Monday. These operations coincided with raids in Jerusalem and Tulkarm, where troops closed town entrances and disrupted citizens' movement.

In Bethlehem, the Red Crescent treated two injuries from rubber bullets in the Al-Muniya area and transferred them to the hospital. In Jenin, special forces raided the town of Kifridan, searching a house and shops before arresting a young man. In Nablus, Israeli forces accompanied by bulldozers demolished a memorial in Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, confiscated a model of the map of Palestine, and closed entrances to the villages of Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya and Al-Sawiya.

Local sources reported that troops closed iron gates and dirt roads in Nablus to prevent movement. In Jerusalem, forces raided the town of Hizma, closed its entrances, and fired sound bombs. In Tulkarm, troops raided the town of Ramin and the Aqaba neighborhood, obstructing movement and removing the Palestinian flag from Martyrs' Square without reporting any arrests.

A report by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority showed an escalation in attacks, with settlers carrying out 1,369 attacks in October, an increase of 111.6 percent compared to September. The total number of attacks by the army and settlers reached 3,133, a 52.8 percent increase, including shootings, property damage, and road closures.

Since October 8, 2023, the army has escalated its operations in the West Bank, resulting in the killing of more than 1,220 Palestinians and injuring approximately 13,350 others, with over 26,000 arrests.
