Israeli occupation force infiltrates Sidon Golan in the southern countryside of Quneitra
Two sponsors were arrested and field investigated

On Monday, July 6, an Israeli occupation force infiltrated the village of Saida in the southern countryside of Quneitra.

Local sources in Quneitra said that the mechanized force, consisting of three military vehicles, set up a temporary checkpoint at the village junction on the main road.

The local sources indicated that the occupation force  arrested two shepherds and conducted a field investigation with them, before heading towards the Al-Hanout area and continuing its movements in the area amid a state of tension along the disengagement line.

Continuous artillery targeting of agricultural lands

On July 2, the occupation forces targeted with three artillery shells the lands between the village of Brega and the town of Kodna in the southern countryside of Quneitra governorate, which resulted in severe material damage to the agricultural lands belonging to the citizens, without recording any human injuries.

These Israeli incursions into the countryside of Quneitra are part of a continuous series of violations that the Israeli occupation is deliberately practicing in southern Syria, with the aim of destabilizing and harassing the local population.

This escalation on the ground is linked to a backdrop of ongoing violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement , including:

July 2: Israeli direct artillery shelling with three shells targeting the vicinity of the villages of Breika and Kudneh in the southern countryside of Quneitra, causing agricultural damage.

July 5: Raiding the Abu Mudhra farm with four armored vehicles, and raiding houses.

6  July: The Israeli occupation forces carried out a simultaneous incursion into the village of Al-Asha and carried out a thorough search of houses, in parallel with the raid into the village of Saida in the Golan, the establishment of military checkpoints and the interrogation of herders in the field.

More than 50 Israeli incursions since last June

Based on reliable data and information, "Syrian News" documented more than 50 incursions and ground violations carried out by Israeli forces in the countryside of Daraa and Quneitra since the beginning of last June, which caused thousands of farmers to be prevented from heading to their lands.

Between 18 and 21 June 2026, the Israeli occupation forces infiltrated the southern and central countryside of Quneitra as part of a series of simultaneous ground operations that reflect a gradual level of escalation along the strip separating the occupied Golan, and were distributed over several villages and axes.

Eyewitnesses reported that a military convoy infiltrated at dawn on June 18 from the Tal Ahmar base towards the village of Al-Asbah, spread in its streets and raided the homes of civilians before withdrawing, and on June 19, the operations expanded to include Sidon al-Hanout and Saida al-Golan, where the forces carried out searches on about ten houses, during which they interrogated the residents, including a media officer from the Quneitra Information Directorate, in addition to the incursion of Israeli vehicles into the town of Koudna and the implementation of a meticulous search campaign inside the houses.
