Two Palestinians were killed and others injured today, Saturday, as a result of Israeli occupation forces shelling areas in the Gaza Strip, while scattered areas of the West Bank witnessed settler attacks targeting farmers during the olive harvest season.
The Palestinian WAFA news agency quoted a medical source as saying that a Palestinian was killed and others injured as a result of an Israeli drone strike on the Mawasi area in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
The source indicated that a citizen was also killed and others injured as a result of an Israeli drone targeting a group of people on Al-Baraka Street, south of Deir al-Balah city in the center of the Strip.
In the West Bank, Israeli occupation forces bulldozed agricultural land in the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah, and uprooted dozens of fruit-bearing olive trees in the vicinity of Ain Samiya.
In the town of Jib, south of Jenin, occupation forces arrested a Palestinian while he was picking olives between the towns of Jib and Sanur. This coincided with bulldozing operations begun by settlers a few days ago at the site of the Sanur camp, which the Israeli army evacuated in 2005, raising residents' concerns regarding their agricultural land and the olive harvest season.
In the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, two Palestinians were injured with bruises and various wounds as a result of settler attacks against them while picking olives in the Abu Sharif area, where they attacked the farmers and beat them.
A young man was also injured by live fire shot by settlers in the town of Qalqilya south of Nablus, while he was picking olives east of the town.
Attack on Beit Amra Municipality Teams
In Hebron, settlers attacked teams from the electricity department of the Beit Amra Municipality, north of the governorate, while they were working in the Wadi Al-Sheikh area, preventing them from supplying electricity to one of the houses.
A Palestinian was killed and others injured this morning following an Israeli occupation shelling on the Tuffah neighborhood in northeast Gaza City, hours after two Palestinians, one of them a woman, were killed and others injured by occupation fire in the Strip.
