Jay-Z to headline 2027 Super Bowl show
NFL announces rapper Jay-Z will perform at the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show next February.

The National Football League announced on Tuesday that rapper Jay-Z will headline the halftime show of the 2027 Super Bowl, next February. The show, organized during the championship game of the National Football League, is the most prominent and sought-after event in the music world. Viewership of the halftime show on American television often exceeds 100 million, surpassing the viewership of the match itself.

History of the Concert

Over the years, prominent artists, including the Rolling Stones, Madonna, and Bruce Springsteen, have taken the Super Bowl stage. Rapper Bad Bunny, from Puerto Rico, was the main star of the last Super Bowl concert. The Super Bowl match will be played on February 14 next year in Los Angeles, and will be broadcast via the ABC and ESPN television networks owned by The Walt Disney Company. It will also be available via the Disney+ platform and the ESPN app.

Rock Nation Production

Rock Nation, owned by Jay-Z, has produced the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019. Jay plays a key role in selecting the artist who will perform each year. Roger Goodell, commissioner of the National Football League, said in a statement: "For several years, we have had the honor of working closely with Jay-Z and Rock Nation, and I have seen the exceptional impact he has had on the Super Bowl halftime show."

He added: "When we first reached an agreement with Rock Nation to produce the show, I had only one request, that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day when he feels the moment is right for him."
