Justice Palace in Al-Hasakah Resumes Work After Two-Year Hiatus
The public prosecutor in Al-Hasakah resumes work at the Justice Palace, providing judicial services after a 22-month stoppage.

The Justice Palace in the city of Al-Hasakah resumed its work and receiving visitors today, Thursday, to provide judicial services, following a hiatus of approximately one year and ten months. Courts in the districts and sub-districts under the governorate are scheduled to resume their work sequentially in the near future, thereby expanding the scope of services available to citizens.

The Public Prosecutor in Al-Hasakah, Ghazi Sheikh Ibrahim, told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that work began today at the Justice Palace in the city with the return of normal working hours. He pointed out that there are some issues being addressed in coordination with the Ministry of Justice, particularly regarding securing the necessary logistical requirements to ensure the continuity of work and provide its necessities.

Sheikh Ibrahim added that the resumption of work in courts in the districts and sub-districts will take place sequentially in the near future, contributing to expanding the scope of judicial services and facilitating citizens' access to them. He emphasized the importance of the return of work at the Justice Palace and courts to enable citizens to follow up on their cases and lawsuits, and to complete legal procedures and adjudicate pending cases before the judiciary.

Previously, on August 22, the Deputy Governor of Al-Hasakah, Ahmed Al-Hilali, discussed with the Public Prosecutor of the governorate, Judge Ghazi Sheikh Ibrahim, the state of judicial work and practical steps to reactivate the Justice Palace, complexes, and judicial courts. This meeting was held at the Al-Hasakah governorate building, as part of efforts to improve public services.

It is worth noting that a government delegation from the Ministry of Justice, led by the Syrian Public Prosecutor, Judge Advisor Hassan Al-Turba, met with the Governor of Al-Hasakah in April last year to discuss the activation of judicial institutions in the governorate. These steps come to reinforce the rule of law and consolidate the principle of resorting to the judiciary, thereby contributing to the restoration of public services and meeting the needs of citizens in the governorate.
