Kremlin: First Russian diesel tanker departs for the United States
Kremlin confirms first Russian diesel shipment to the US under Trump-Putin deal, with trilateral talks set in the UAE.

Diesel shipments

Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on Friday the departure of the first tanker carrying diesel from Russia bound for the United States, noting that supplies will continue regularly. Peskov confirmed in statements to journalists in Moscow that the Russian Ministry of Energy provided details regarding the first shipment, pointing out that the tanker has already set sail towards buyers.

Agreement details

On October 9, US President Donald Trump announced that he had reached an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stipulating the supply of more than 300,000 tons of diesel to American and global markets immediately, an additional 500,000 tons in November, followed by one million tons thereafter.

Trilateral talks

Regarding the war between Russia and Ukraine, Peskov stated that talks are scheduled to take place in the UAE during the first half of November. He clarified that the trilateral talks will address issues related to ensuring the security of Russia and Ukraine following a potential peace agreement.

Peskov added that this element is crucial for reaching a peaceful solution, noting that the negotiations will initially be held between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine, without excluding the participation of European countries in later stages.
