Launch of "Made in Syria" Festival in Damascus with Participation of 50 Companies
The "Made in Syria" festival launched in Damascus with 50 local companies to market national products at reduced prices.

The "Made in Syria" festival kicked off on Monday evening at the Barzeh Complex in Damascus, with the participation of 50 local companies, organized by the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Industry in cooperation with the Syrian Company for Trade – Damascus Branch. The festival aims to market national products and deliver them to consumers at reduced and competitive prices.

The festival continues until November 12, featuring a diverse range of national products including food and chemical industries, particularly cleaning materials and cosmetics, as well as textile and engineering industries. Organizers emphasize that the event seeks to shorten commercial mediation chains by delivering products directly from factories to consumers.

Direct Contact Between Producer and Consumer

Mohammed Ayman Al-Molawi, President of the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Industry, stressed in a statement to SANA the importance of the festival in supporting national industry and enhancing direct communication between producers and consumers. He explained that this contributes to a positive impact on prices and provides products at reasonable rates. Al-Molawi noted that discounts on some participating products range between 30 and 50 percent compared to their prices in the markets.

For his part, Anas Tripoli, a member of the board of directors of the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Industry and head of the Exhibitions Committee, clarified that the participating companies represent sectors of engineering, chemical, food, and textile industries. He pointed to a study for holding future editions of the festival in other Syrian governorates, which would help expand the scope of marketing national products and reach broader segments of consumers.

Osama Rajab from Barzeh Al-Balad in Damascus emphasized the importance of holding the festival in the area due to the reduced-price products it offers, which help alleviate economic burdens on citizens. He highlighted the role of such events in marketing national industrial products, enhancing consumer trust in them, and highlighting the status of Syrian industry, in addition to the importance of cooperation between relevant authorities and commercial and industrial entities in supporting local production and stimulating economic activity.
