The Syria International Security and Safety Exhibition "Vortex 2026" will kick off next Sunday at the Damascus Exhibition City grounds. It is considered the country's first specialized national event of its kind and will run until the 28th of this month. The exhibition is organized by Wasem for Electronic Solutions and Smart Software, in cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management, with broad participation from government entities, institutions, and companies specializing in this vital field.
Display of modern technologies
Exhibition Director Osama Al-Nasser told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that the event showcases the latest technologies and solutions in the sectors of security and safety, civil defense, fire fighting, emergency and disaster management, cybersecurity, surveillance and protection systems, and the security of facilities and critical infrastructure. He noted that this contributes to developing the capabilities of government institutions and the private sector, and opening avenues for cooperation and investment in the Syrian market.
Dialogue sessions and international experts
For his part, Al-Nasser pointed out that the exhibition includes dialogue sessions, specialized lectures, and workshops, with the participation of 35 experts and specialists from several countries, alongside government officials and representatives of local and international companies. These sessions aim to discuss challenges and opportunities related to developing the security and safety system in Syria, and to enhance the exchange of expertise, knowledge transfer, and modern technologies among participants.
A platform for cooperation and reconstruction
He added that the exhibition represents a professional platform that brings together manufacturing companies, suppliers, and solution providers with government entities, investors, and project owners, with the goal of building new partnerships and supporting reconstruction requirements and infrastructure modernization. The exhibition receives visitors daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. throughout its duration.
