Lens defeats Paris FC and moves up in the French League standings
Lens overturned a deficit to beat Paris FC 2-1 in the eighth round of the French League.

Lens secured a valuable 2-1 victory over guests Paris FC on Saturday at the "Bollaert-Delelis" stadium in the eighth round of the French football league, after overturning their deficit in the score.

Lens continued their winning streak to reach 13 points and take sixth place, one point behind the leading teams, while Paris FC's tally remained at 14 points in fourth place, level with Olympique Lyon, Paris Saint-Germain, Lille, and Monaco.

The Parisian side started the match strongly and managed to end the first half leading with a goal scored by Italian Luca Coliusho in the second minute of stoppage time, taking advantage of a counter-attack that he finished with a shot from the edge of the penalty area following a pass from Malian Lassin Sinayoko.

In the second half, Lens intensified its offensive pressure, and its captain Florian Tofan equalized in the 63rd minute with a powerful left-footed shot from outside the penalty area, after a decisive pass from Belgian Thorgan Hazard.

The home side continued its pressure until they managed to turn the score in their favor, when Hazard scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute, after receiving a pass from Tofan, setting himself up before firing a strong left-footed shot into the net.

The goal gave Lens three points, strengthening their position in the race for the top spots, while Paris FC missed the chance to go top of the table, igniting the battle for the summit with points closely contested among the leading teams.
