The Media Innovation Camp, an initiative of the Saudi Media Forum, announced the launch of the Development and Mentoring Program on Monday. The program aims to prepare participating media projects, refine their ideas, and enhance their readiness to transition to more advanced stages. This is achieved through an integrated system of mentoring and advisory sessions and training workshops.
Specialized Workshops
The program is a continuation of the camp's efforts to host and accelerate promising media projects, after receiving more than 300 projects from 25 countries, with 150 projects qualifying for the next stage. The program includes 100 hours of mentoring and advisory sessions, alongside 5 training workshops aimed at developing participants' skills and enhancing their capabilities in building media projects.
Daily Mentoring Sessions
The training workshops are held on Mondays of each week and are delivered by several members of the Saudi Innovation Club. These include the workshop "Creative Thinking and Its Impact on Innovators" by Dr. Walid Al-Shamimari, "Artificial Intelligence in Media" by Dr. Amani Al-Burikan, "Prototyping" by Dr. Wafa Al-Ahmadi, "Sustainability of Solutions" by Engineer Mohammed Al-Amoudi, and "Presentation Skills" by Engineer Tariq Bamusq.
Future of the Media Sector
Mentoring and advisory sessions continue daily for a month, allowing participating projects to benefit from the mentors' expertise from the club members and receive specialized guidance to develop their ideas and address the challenges they face. The program aims to transform innovative ideas into more mature media projects ready for the future, and to enhance participants' capabilities in developing creative, applicable, and sustainable solutions.
The camp's activities are scheduled to continue as part of the Saudi Media Forum events from February 1 to 3, 2027, in the capital city of Riyadh, in partnership with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the Saudi Innovation Club.
