Meteorology: Temperatures around or below normal in November
The National Meteorology Center expects stable temperatures with above-average rainfall in the coast and northwest.

The National Center for Meteorology and Climate predicted that temperature rates during the current month of November will be around their normal levels or slightly below, with moderate weather conditions leaning towards coolness, especially in the middle and end of the month, while ruling out the possibility of a cold wave or significant drop in temperatures.

The Center clarified in a report published on its "Facebook" page about the weather conditions during November that the areas most susceptible to rainfall are the coastal, northwestern, and Jazirah regions. The Center indicated that these areas are expected to experience rainfall above their normal rates, while rainfall in the central, southern, and eastern regions will be around the average, making rain likely, especially during the first and second weeks of this month, with no indications of a dry spell in most areas.

First and Second Weeks

The average temperature during the first week, from 2/11/2026 to 8/11/2026, will be around normal levels across all Syrian regions, with a cold wave ruled out. Rainfall will be above average on the coast and northwest of the country and parts of the Jazirah, indicating the country's exposure to a weather disturbance concentrated on these areas, and around average in other parts of Syria where its impact is expected to be limited.

During the second week, from 9/11/2026 to 15/11/2026, temperatures will be 1 to 3 degrees below normal across all Syrian regions, with a cold wave ruled out. Rainfall will be above average on the coast and northwest of the country and parts of the Jazirah, indicating the country's exposure to a weather disturbance concentrated on these areas, and around average in other parts of Syria, where these areas are expected to be affected by the disturbance.

Third and Fourth Weeks

During the third week, from 16/11/2026 to 22/11/2026, temperatures will be around average across all regions and slightly below average in the Jazirah and parts of the central and northwest regions, with a cold wave ruled out. Rainfall will continue around average across all regions and slightly above average in parts of the Jazirah, suggesting instability concentrated on those areas.

As for the fourth week, from 23/11/2026 to 30/11/2026, temperatures will be around average across all regions and slightly below average in the Jazirah, with a cold wave ruled out. Rainfall will be around average across all regions and slightly above average on the coast and parts of the northwestern regions and the Jazirah, suggesting the continuation of weather disturbances.

The Center emphasized that these predictions are probabilistic, with low accuracy rates, and are subject to continuous updates via weekly reports and daily bulletins, according to developments in weather conditions, and were prepared based on outputs from global climate models and analysis of numerical model data.

The issuance of this report is based on outputs from global climate models and analysis of numerical model data for 2026, aiming to provide an overview of temperatures and rainfall.
