The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, on Thursday, circulated the sample model for the admission test at Advanced Technology Schools for the academic year 2026-2027. This measure aims to familiarize students with the nature of the questions and the answering mechanism, helping them prepare for the standardized test to be held.
The Ministry clarified, via its Telegram channel, that the test consists of 40 multiple-choice questions, each containing four options and one correct answer. The test duration is two hours, carrying a total of 100 points, with students required to read the questions and options fully before selecting an answer.
In the same context, the Ministry pointed out that space is allocated on the last page for performing calculations, while emphasizing the prohibition of using mobile phones or calculators. It advised students to move to the next question if they find it difficult to answer one, and return to it later, noting that the model was prepared for training and developing thinking skills, not as a question bank.
For his part, President Ahmed al-Sharaa issued Decree No. (183) of 2026 on October 7, establishing the "National Advanced Technology Pathway." Admission to these schools is decided annually by the Minister of Education, based on two main conditions: passing the Basic Education Certificate or its equivalent, and passing a national standardized test.
