On Friday, the French capital Paris will host a high-level international conference to revitalize the stalled "two-state solution" process, with the participation of foreign ministers and officials from dozens of countries, as well as representatives of Palestinian civil society.
Reuters news agency reported that the conference aims to draft a political document called the "Paris 2026 Call" to be submitted to the G7 summit, which includes an eight-point action plan calling for a permanent ceasefire, a settlement ceasement, and the start of reconstruction.
In return, both Israel and the United States decided to boycott the conference, with the Israeli embassy in Paris deeming the meeting not in the service of peace, questioning the role of the French mediator who resigned.
Record escalation of settler violence and incursions in the West Bank
The United Nations has expressed deep regret over the intensification of Israeli settler violence in the occupied West Bank for 2026.
The spokesman for the UN Secretary-General, Stephane Dujarric, quoted the figures of the OCHA office, which has documented the launch of more than 1,000 attacks by settlers since the beginning of this year, with an unprecedented rate of 6 attacks per day, which led to the displacement of 2,200 Palestinians.
On the ground, the official Palestinian news agency "Wafa" reported that dozens of settlers stormed this morning the Bedouin community of "Mleihat" and the "Qatrwani" archaeological shrine and park north of Ramallah and cut barbed wire, in conjunction with storming the tourist area of Berk Suleiman south of Bethlehem to perform Talmudic rituals.
The occupation forces also carried out arrests at dawn today of two young men from Jenin and a citizen from Nablus through a special force of "Arabists".
Catastrophic Numbers and the Scale of Structural Destruction in the Gaza Strip
The Director of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing in Gaza, Eng. Mohammed Abboud, revealed the scale of the unprecedented humanitarian and urban catastrophe that the Gaza Strip is going through.
In press statements, Abboud explained that the number of housing units that were completely destroyed and became uninhabitable has reached about 410,000 housing units, leaving more than 350,000 families in a state of continuous displacement.
The Palestinian official pointed out that the amount of rubble and rubble accumulated throughout the Gaza Strip is estimated at about 60 million tons, which constitutes the biggest obstacle to reconstruction efforts, pointing out that the ministry relies on timber and simple tents for restoration due to the occupation's prohibition of the entry of basic building materials.
Israeli real estate exhibition angers London
The organization of the "Great Israeli Real Estate Exhibition", which is scheduled to be held secretly in the British capital London on June 14, has sparked a wave of sharp human rights and political criticism.
Middle East Eye revealed that Israeli companies such as Hari Zahav and the Meshulam Levinstein Group are involved in promoting the sale of real estate and land located within illegal settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, such as Ma'ale Adumim and Negrohot.
British political leaders such as Jeremy Corbyn and Green Party leader Zac Polanski have called on Mayor Sadiq Khan to intervene to prevent the exhibition, while the Foreign Office has renewed warnings to citizens and businesses against any economic activities in settlements, as Britain, Canada, France and Norway impose coordinated sanctions on settler violence financing networks.
These developments coincide with warnings from international reports about the danger of the E1 settlement project in East Jerusalem, which threatens to geographically divide and isolate the West Bank completely, at a time when British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is facing pressure from MPs after it was revealed that more than £28 million has been diverted to British charities to support settlements in recent years.
