Morocco advanced to the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, after a hard-fought victory over Haiti, as the Atlas Lions overturned their two-time deficit to win 4-2.
In contrast to Morocco's early dominance, Haiti took the lead from a counter-attack through Leni Joseph, in a resounding surprise.
The goal came from a cross played by Jean-Kevin Duverne, which Yassine Bounou failed to disperse, and was met by Leni Joseph with a shot in the goal.
Morocco's equalizer came in the 39th minute through Achraf Hakimi, who followed up a ball that fell from the goalkeeper's hands.
Morocco did not congratulate with the draw, as Haitian star Wilson Isidor surprised everyone with a rocket shot that found the net of Yassine Bounou, to snatch his team's second goal amid everyone's astonishment, but before the final whistle of the first half, Ismail Sibari managed to score the equalizer for Morocco.
Morocco rose up in the second half, and completely controlled the match until the 78th minute came when Sofiane Rahimi broke up the clash and scored the third goal for the Moroccan national team, and Yassine Jassim concluded the goals of the Moroccan national team with the fourth goal in the 90th minute, to snatch a valuable victory for his team.
Brazil thrash Scotland by three goals
Brazil produced a strong performance against Scotland at the 2026 World Cup, winning by three goals without reply at the Miami Stadium to strengthen their position at the top of Group C.
Vinicius Jr. opened the scoring early on taking advantage of a defensive mistake by Scott McKenna, before adding the second goal with a header that confirmed the Seleção's superiority in the first half.
In the second half, the Brazilian national team continued its attacking pressure, and Matheus Cunha was able to score the third goal after an assist from Bruno Guimaraes, to settle the match once and for all.
Neymar came on in the 76th minute of the match, replacing Matheus Cunha, while the result indicates that the Samba team advanced with a clean sheet.
With this result, Brazil continues to lead Group C on goal difference from Morocco, who finished second, while they await the match against the runners-up of Group F.
Scotland, despite the heavy loss, still have a chance to qualify for the knockout stages among the best teams in third place.
