Al Neom first football team repeated its winning scenario against Yemeni Shabab Hadhramaut, securing a clean four-goal victory, to claim its third consecutive win where all goals were scored before the halftime break. The team accumulated nine goals in the first halves of the three matches, with a clean sheet, surpassing their Yemeni opponent last Tuesday at King Khalid Sports City Stadium in Tabuk, in the first round of the Gulf Club Champions League.

In the same vein, Neom defeated Al-Gharafa 3-0 and Al-Hilal 2-0 in the Saudi Pro League in the same manner. French player Alexandre Lacazette, Mhand Al-Saadi, and Malian Amadou Kone scored the hat-trick against Al-Gharafa on September 3 last year before halftime, while Neom ended the first half against Al-Hilal leading by two goals, scored by Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly own goal and Kone.

For his part, Lacazette accounted for half of Neom's four-goal haul, while Algerian Said Benrahma and Mohammed Walid Al-Dossari added the other two goals, with the match ending with the same scoreline as the first half. Lacazette accounted for half of Neom's four-goal haul, while Algerian Said Benrahma and Mohammed Walid Al-Dossari added the other two goals, with the match ending with the same scoreline as the first half.

He noted that the four-goal victory gave Neom the largest winning margin in the opening round of the Gulf tournament, surpassing UAE's Al-Nassr and Qatar's Al-Duhail, who defeated Bahrain's Riffa and Oman's Al-Shabab with two clean two-goal victories, and Al-Ittihad who defeated Kuwait's Kazma 2-0. Meanwhile, UAE's Ajman recorded the highest scoring tally in the round with five goals against Iraq's Erbil, but conceding four goals limited their winning margin to one goal, compared to Neom's four.
