Netanyahu tops Israeli elections with 59 seats, Eizenkot 46
Partial results show Netanyahu's camp leading with 59 seats against Eizenkot's 46 and 15 for Arab lists after 31.15% of votes counted.

Partial vote counting results in the Israeli elections on Wednesday showed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's camp securing 59 seats, compared to 46 for the camp of Yesh Atid leader Gadi Eizenkot, while Arab lists obtained 15 seats, after counting approximately 31.15 percent of the total votes.

According to data from the Elections Committee published by the "Yedioth Ahronoth" website until 05:13 local time, 1,766,198 votes were counted out of 11,996 polling stations, equivalent to 35.6 percent of the total number of stations. Netanyahu's Likud party obtained 29 seats, followed by Yesh Atid led by Eizenkot with 20 seats, the Joint Arab List with 11 seats, and the "Together" list led by Naftali Bennett with 11 seats.

For his part, the data showed Netanyahu's camp receiving 48.4 percent of the counted votes, equivalent to approximately 854,200 votes, compared to 51.6 percent for other parties, including Arab lists, with approximately 912,000 votes. Likud led the partial results by obtaining 22 percent of the votes, followed by Yesh Atid with 15.5 percent, and then the Joint List with 8.6 percent.

The data indicated that the voter turnout reached 77.7 percent, an increase of 7.1 percent over the 2022 elections, the highest since 1999. Any camp needs at least 61 seats out of 120 to form a government, while exit poll samples showed a closeness between the two camps before the official vote counting.
