Occupation crimes threaten livestock in Ruwayhina, Quneitra countryside
Israeli attacks destroyed livestock and pastures in Ruwayhina, causing severe livelihood losses.

Repeated Israeli occupation attacks in the village of Ruwayhina in the Quneitra countryside have threatened livestock and the livelihoods of residents, turning livestock breeding from a source of income into a risky activity due to restrictions on farmers' access to their lands and pastures.

The village head, Muhammad al-Ahmad, stated that the occupation has seized approximately 5,000 to 6,000 dunams of land and pastures adjacent to the occupied Syrian Golan, established military checkpoints and earth barriers making access nearly impossible, and that livestock are shot upon exiting.

Al-Ahmad added that his personal losses amounted to about 50 sheep and one cow, while dozens of livestock in the village were killed. This led to a decline in daily milk and dairy production from about 5 tons to just 2 tons, and down to between 200 and 300 kilograms during periods of severe restriction.

For his part, village resident Hassan Hamid al-Nasif (68 years old) emphasized that daily raids and strict surveillance have turned livestock grazing into a daily risk. He noted that the occupation prevents children from approaching the lands under threat of weapons and confiscates agricultural tools and mobile phones.

He pointed out that Israeli aircraft drop illuminating bombs at night, burning wheat and barley fields and uprooting olive groves. Meanwhile, the Quneitra Media Directorate added that occupation forces detained more than 200 sheep and 14 cows in the village of Al-Rafid, with livestock perishing in areas such as Kudna, Burayqa, Bir Ajam, Suwayda, and Sayda.
