Opening of a Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals Exhibition in Deir Ezzor
A specialized medical exhibition opens in Deir Ezzor to bridge pharmaceutical gaps and improve health services.

The specialized medical exhibition for pharmaceuticals and medical devices was opened today, Friday, within the framework of the Syrian-French Medical Conference at the Badia Al-Sham Hotel in Deir Ezzor city, with the participation of several medical warehouses and companies operating in the health sector.

Minister of Health Musab Al-Ali clarified in a statement to SANA that the opening of the exhibition comes on the sidelines of the conference activities, aiming to display available pharmaceuticals in medical warehouses, identify shortages in drug categories, and work to address them and bridge gaps in drug availability, thereby contributing to improving the pharmaceutical situation in the province.

For his part, Walid Tala, a representative of one of the participating companies, pointed out that participation in the exhibition aims to observe the medical and pharmaceutical reality in Deir Ezzor, discuss ways to develop it and advance health services, thereby benefiting the health sector and various concerned parties.

Mohammad Qashqash, one of the conference lecturers coming from Aleppo province, explained that the exhibition is distinguished by the diversity of locally produced drug categories, alongside the display of modern medical devices provided by Syrian companies, allowing for the identification of products and available capacities in the national medical sector.

For his part, Abdul Raouf Mohammad, a representative of one of the medical projects companies, confirmed the company's ability to meet most of the province's needs regarding medical projects, including establishing, equipping, and furnishing centers, clinics, and hospitals with necessary medical devices, such as diagnostic imaging, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging machines.

The exhibition comes amid efforts to improve the pharmaceutical reality and develop medical equipment in Deir Ezzor province, facing challenges related to the shortage of certain drug categories and medical supplies, as well as the high costs of providing them.

The Syrian-French Medical Conference activities began today, Friday, at the Badia Al-Sham Hotel, organized by the Union of Syrian Doctors and Pharmacists in France (UMPSF), in cooperation with the 'Mehad' and 'French Relief for Syria' organizations. It aims, alongside its events and accompanying exhibition, to enhance medical cooperation and exchange expertise, contributing to supporting the health sector and meeting the needs of medical institutions in the province.
