Opening of a Seleuk Post Office in Raqqa Countryside to Facilitate Services
Syrian Post opens Seleuk office in northern Raqqa to bring services closer to residents and reduce travel burdens.

The Syrian Post Authority opened, on Wednesday, a post office in the town of Seleuk in northern Raqqa countryside, as part of its plan for horizontal expansion and reaching services to various areas. The new office is located in the Seleuk Communications Center headquarters, allowing residents of the town and neighboring villages to complete their transactions and receive their salaries without needing to travel to the city of Raqqa.

Ahmed Amin Hilal, Director of Raqqa Post, told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that the services include deposit and withdrawal via 'Sham Cash', disbursement of pensions for retirees, real estate bank services, and balance transfers via 'MTN' and 'Syriatel' companies. He noted that the Authority also provides a service to deliver salaries to the homes of retirees in the city of Raqqa.

For his part, citizen Mohammed Al-Jasem expressed his satisfaction with the opening of the office, citing the time, effort, and travel costs it saves, considering that the area has long suffered from the hardship of roads. Citizen Mahmoud Al-Hasan confirmed that the step eliminates the hassle of repeated travel and traffic congestion, allowing for the development of services to meet the needs of the area.

The Raqqa Post Directorate is working to implement a plan to expand the network and connect it to a single-window system, to provide services for extracting civil registry, real estate, non-employee certificate, and judicial summary documents, aiming to facilitate transactions and reduce the burden of travel on residents of rural areas.
