The 'Creative Women' exhibition was inaugurated today, Saturday, at the Cultural Center in the city of Qusayr in the countryside of Homs, as part of the Syrian Women's Week events, with the aim of introducing women's projects and highlighting their productive role in the region. The exhibition features a variety of products including provisions, pastries, pottery, crochet, candles, and paintings, along with sessions sharing the participants' experiences.
The director of the Cultural Center in Qusayr, Abdul Majid Al-Qurandash, clarified that the exhibition comes within the framework of the Ministry of Culture's plan to celebrate Syrian Women's Week and highlight their skills in various fields. He pointed out that the accompanying sessions allow women to speak about the challenges they faced during displacement and after their return, and the efforts they made to continue working and producing.
For his part, the director of the Qusayr region, Hassan Mohib Al-Din, stated that the diversity of products led to the proposal of establishing a permanent market for handicrafts, with efforts to follow up on the proposal to enable them to market their work continuously. Participant Razan Al-Zahoori spoke about her experience in making plaster and candle products, noting that she developed her skills online and gradually increased her production.
Dr. Baher Amer emphasized that these initiatives contribute to launching small projects that provide income sources for families and improve livelihoods. The exhibition continues until October 26, receiving visitors daily from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the exhibition hall at the Cultural Center.
