Palestinians injured in Israeli shelling, homes destroyed in Gaza
Israeli shelling injures two in Gaza, homes demolished, and fire opened on displaced persons' tents in the south.

Two Palestinians were injured on Friday morning due to an Israeli airstrike that targeted a residential apartment in Gaza City, while the Israeli military carried out a demolition operation on homes in the middle of the Strip and opened fire towards tents of displaced persons in the south.

These attacks come within the framework of continuous Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which has been in effect since October/November 2025. Medical and local sources told Anadolu Agency that an Israeli helicopter fired at least one missile towards an apartment in a residential building in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza City.

The sources added that the shelling resulted in two Palestinians being injured with minor wounds. In the middle of the Strip, the Israeli military carried out a wide-scale demolition operation on homes within its deployment areas east of Al-Masdar town, coinciding with intense artillery shelling in the surrounding area.

An Anadolu Agency correspondent quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the demolition operation led to the destruction of buildings and homes evacuated of residents. The witnesses added that a massive explosion was heard in wide areas of the Gaza Strip as a result of the operation.

In the southern Strip, Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire towards tents of displaced persons in the Qizan Al-Najjar and Jorat Al-Lout areas south of Khan Younis city, according to local sources for Anadolu Agency. No casualties or injuries were reported from the shooting.

Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza have resulted in the killing of 1,574 Palestinians and the injury of 5,687 others, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, up to Thursday. Since October 2023, Israel has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, during which it killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and injured over 175,000, and destroyed about 90 percent of civilian infrastructure.
