Postponement of Round 13 of the Saudi Pro League
Round 13 matches postponed to November 2026 following the rescheduling of the 2027 Asian Cup.

The Saudi Professional League announced on Tuesday the postponement of Round 13 matches, originally scheduled from Thursday, November 5 to Saturday, November 7, 2026. This decision follows the rescheduling of the 2027 Asian Cup, hosted by Saudi Arabia, which has created additional space in the sports calendar.

The League clarified that the decision is part of a comprehensive review of the distribution of league rounds for the remainder of the season, aiming to re-evaluate match dates and achieve the best balance in the pace of competitions. The postponement includes all nine originally scheduled matches, taking into account player recovery and rest periods.

For his part, the Asian Football Confederation announced on Tuesday the rescheduling of the national teams' Asian Cup to take place between December 23, 2027, and January 21, 2028. The previous dates for the tournament were from January 7 to February 5, 2027, with the decision coming after extensive discussions with the Saudi Federation and the organizing committee.

The League indicated that it intends to hold a workshop with clubs to discuss the distribution of rounds and considerations related to the competition schedule. New dates for Round 13 will be announced after completing the review and adopting the updated distribution, with no alternative date specified so far.
