President Al-Shara: President Macron's visit to Syria will witness the signing of a number of agreements
France will take over the areas of infrastructure, industry and the financial sector

President Ahmed al-Sharaa stressed the importance of French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Syria at this stage of its contemporary history after liberation, noting that France has been a friend of the Syrian people since the days of the revolution suppressed by the former regime.

President Al-Sharaa said in an interview on  the French channel BFMTV on Monday that French President Macron has communicated with us since the liberation, and France played a constructive role in lifting sanctions on Syria, noting  that the visit constitutes an important development in the relationship between the two countries.

 

Al-Shara: Major projects in Syria represent an opportunity for foreign companies

 President Al-Sharaa said: "We are building institutions in Syria and establishing many partnerships, including the aviation sector, in addition to the tourism, agriculture and industrial fields, and France will work in the fields of infrastructure, industry, the financial sector and restructuring, and there are many sectors in which France can operate."

In the economic field, President Al-Sharaa stated that President Macron's visit to Syria will witness the signing of a number of agreements.

President Al-Shara stressed that the major projects offered in Syria represent an opportunity for foreign companies to participate in the reconstruction phase.

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Syria on Monday evening in the first visit by a French president since 2009, embodying the transition of Syrian-French relations to a new stage based on mutual respect and equal partnership.
