The Quneitra Health Directorate revived and deployed mobile medical clinics dedicated to serving residents of the occupied Golan living in settlements in Quneitra, Daraa, Damascus, and its countryside today, Friday, aiming to deliver free and comprehensive medical services to families at their places of residence.
For his part, Dr. Salah Obeid, from the Mobile Clinics Project in southern Quneitra countryside, clarified that the revival of the clinics coincided with extending their operating hours to ensure meeting growing health needs, under directives from the Quneitra governorate as part of a plan aimed at improving service levels for residents and alleviating their financial and physical burdens.
Obeid noted that the project embodies cooperation between the Health Directorate, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the "Syrians" and "Ghuras" associations, explaining that the fleet consists of six vehicles, four belonging to the Health Directorate and two belonging to partner organizations.
In the same context, Obeid stated that the clinics include qualified medical staff providing services such as examinations, medical consultations and treatment, periodic check-ups, reproductive health and family planning services, nutrition programs, health surveillance and follow-up, in addition to ensuring the continuity of national vaccination programs.
He pointed out that the targeted areas include Golan residents' settlements in the northern and southern countryside of Quneitra governorate, the western countryside of Daraa governorate, alongside residential clusters and temporary accommodation centers in Damascus and its countryside.
The revival of the mobile medical clinics and the extension of their operating hours come within the framework of the Ministry of Health's efforts to enhance health coverage, in coordination with government authorities in Quneitra governorate and local and international partners, compensating for the shortage of fixed medical centers in some remote areas or those affected by exceptional circumstances that limit residents' ability to reach public hospitals and health facilities.
