On Saturday  , June 20, the Spanish club Real Madrid denied reports that it is interested in signing the French international footballer Michael Ulisé, the winger of the German team Bayern Munich, stressing that it has not communicated with the player or his agents.

"In light of the information published in various media regarding our club's alleged interest in Bayern Munich player Michael Ulysses, Real Madrid would like to clarify that it has not had any direct or indirect contact with the aforementioned footballer, his representatives, or individuals in his circle," the club said in an official statement.

"Real Madrid would also like to highlight the excellent institutional relationship it has with Bayern Munich, with which it shares a long history of mutual respect, cooperation and admiration, and regrets the spread of speculation that does not correspond to reality."

"The two clubs have always maintained a relationship based on trust and mutual respect, which is reflected, among other aspects, in the shared conviction that any potential interest in a player from the other club must first be addressed between the two entities themselves, in accordance with the principles of institutional loyalty that have historically governed the relationship between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid."

Bayern Munich: Ulisée is not for sale

This statement comes after a week in which Ulisé's name dominated the news of the Real Madrid transfer market, with several media outlets confirming that the Frenchman is one of the club's top targets this summer, with figures ranging from 150 million to 220 million euros.

For its part, Bayern Munich's management has maintained its firm position, stating repeatedly that the 24-year-old French winger, who is currently with his country's national team in the 2026 World Cup, is not for sale, and that they do not intend to negotiate his departure.

Ulisé, who is under contract until 2029, was recently named the Bundesliga Player of the Year after scoring 22 goals and providing 31 assists in 52 appearances.

Last week, Real Madrid officially  announced the  completion of two free deals of a heavy calibre, including Portuguese star Bernardo Silva and French defender Ibrahima Konate, as part of the team's restructuring plan under new coach Jose Mourinho in preparation for next season.

According to  a statement from the club,  Bernardo Silva joined Real Madrid on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract with Manchester City, where he signed a two-year contract until June 30, 2028, at the age of 31, and the club was able to settle the deal despite strong competition from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, while the player is currently participating with his country's national team in the 2026 World Cup.

Ibrahima Konate also joined for free following the expiration of his contract with Liverpool and the failure of renewal negotiations, and the French defender signed a four-year contract that expires on June 30, 2030, at the age of 27, in a deal that came at the direct request of Florentino Perez and Mourinho to compensate for the departures of David Alaba and Dani Carvajal. Konate will officially join the team on July 1 after the end of his participation with the France national team at the World Cup.

These signings come alongside the deal of Spanish full-back Marc Cucuria,  who comes from Chelsea, in Mercato, which is one of the strongest for Real in recent years, as the management seeks to prepare a team capable of competing locally and on the continent under Mourinho's leadership.
