Technical workshops affiliated with the Tabqa City Council began, on Monday, implementing the project to renovate the main park in the city, as part of the "Our Tabqa, Abshari by Good" campaign, which aims to improve the service reality and add a civilized character to public facilities.
The head of the Tabqa City Council, Abdul Jawad Al-Sharida, clarified in a statement to a SANA correspondent that the project is being implemented on an area of about four dunams in the park located on the main street in the Wadi Mahouk area, in two stages that include renovating the infrastructure and restoration and beautification works, including afforestation and preparing playgrounds for children.
For his part, Al-Sharida pointed out that the campaign's projects include implementing an asphalt mixing project with a length reaching 8 kilometers, fully renovating lighting, and renovating the main entrance to the city via the Corniche street, roundabouts, and gardens with a length of about 7 kilometers, noting that the completion rate of infrastructure works in this project has reached about 80 percent.
He added that the work targets streets that are completely damaged, with a length reaching 8 kilometers within the city's neighborhoods, with the aim of completing the renovation of the rest of the damaged streets in 2027, while residents expressed their satisfaction with the expected improvement and called for speeding up implementation.
The "Our Tabqa, Abshari by Good" campaign was launched in late September last year to include the city of Tabqa and all its neighborhoods according to the priorities of each neighborhood.
